So, I came across this new drop-shipping store the other day and noticed something interesting when I audited their ad account.

I decided to share my experience in a thread you are reading now. I want you to avoid the same mistakes they are making and use the strategies I am going to share with you.

The first thing which was strange to me about this ad account was their cost per acquisition (CPA) which was looking pretty good. 

However, their average order value (AOV) was super low, only 12 bucks. 

After some digging, I found out that the problem was with their pixel.

Turns out, some of the pixel parameters were missing, which made the AOV appear lower than it actually was. 


My advice to all you drop-shippers out there is to make sure your pixel is set up correctly and tracking properly. 

That way, you'll have accurate data on your AOV and other important metrics.

So, here's the deal. I've seen a lot of newbies in the dropshipping game make the same mistake that this store was making. 

They try to cram too many ads into one campaign and target a super broad audience with a low budget.


Now, I get it. You think you're casting a wide net and reaching tons of people, but that's not the most effective way to run things.


Instead, my recommendation is to create multiple campaigns with smaller and more targeted audiences. You want to find groups with less than 2 million people, so it's not so crowded and popular.


Why, you ask? Well, when you aim your ads at specific people who are more likely to be interested in what you're selling, you increase your chances of getting clicks and making sales.


Plus, it gives you a chance to make ad creatives that really speak to that audience.


I know some of you might be thinking that going broad is the way to go, especially if you're working with a small budget. 


You don't want to take a risk on a narrow audience that might not be into what you're selling, right?


But hold on a sec. That kind of strategy only works if your pixel is well-seasoned.


If you're just starting out, it's actually better to go for a small, untapped audience that hasn't been targeted by every other seller out there.


Okay, so let's talk about another mistake this dropshipping store made which I want you to avoid.


They weren't giving their pixel the right customer info because they were targeting way too broadly.


To avoid this, it's super important to create a buyer persona for your perfect customer and use micro-interest targeting based on their interests.


That way, you'll be sending the right people to your pixel. If the first bunch of customers doesn't match your buyer persona, it'll be harder to get the next bunch to buy.
